The Mandatory Football Booster Meeting will be rescheduled for Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 6:30pm, in the commons.  We had to reschedule this meeting due to the Open House at the High School this Thursday!  We had our calendar made long before we knew the Open house would be on this date and I did not catch this when I sent the email this weekend.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  See you at the meeting!

UT Concessions Update-First Game this Saturday 9/4 at 6pm

 

We need at least 11 more volunteers for this Saturday’s opener against UT Martin.  Kick off is at 6pm.  Our first group needs to be there at 1:30pm to help set up.  The second group will come in at 3:15pm and stay to clean up.  In my last email I wasn’t specific about uniforms but we are required to wear khaki or black pants (women can wear capris).  We still need 7 volunteers to be managers.  For this Saturday’s game, the manager will need to be there at 12:30.  If you are interested please call me as soon as possible

Hello Booster Parents,

 

We just want to say a big "Thank you" to all the parents who came out and helped to get our stadium ready on Wednesday and Thursday and to all who helped with the various duties during Friday nights game.  Thank you so much!

We still need a few parents help for Monday nights Freshman/JV game.  We need people to help with the Sideline Chain Gang, concessions and we need to someone to be a spotter to help our announcer in the press box. 

Also, please don't forget...there is a Mandatory Football Booster Club Meeting this Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at 6:30pm.  We will try to meet in the Commons.

Don't forget...we still need help for our UT Concessions starting this Saturday!

Season tickets:  204 available!

A backed chair, special parking and a pass to wear so you can get in the game and to your seat.

If you would like to buy a season ticket for football, they are going on sale in the office Tuesday 8/24/10.  You will pay $60 dollars per ticket and when you return them at the end of the year you will get $10 back.  All season ticket passes must be returned by Nov. 5th 2010

This will include the backed seats with the numbers by the press box.  Special parking will be in the little parking lot out back.  Please read the information sheet carefully when purchasing the pass.  Jonny green and jamie cantril will have them in the office on tuesday .  Tickets will be worn with a lanyard visable for all to see. (around your neck) 

This is not like last year:  if no one is there, you do not get to sit there.  If you don't pay for a season ticket, you don't get to sit in a backed seat!

Football Booster Parents,

We will have a meeting about UT Concessions this Thursday, August 19 at 6:30pm.  Below are some general details and all the specifics will be talked about at the meeting by Carrie Witt.  This is an excellent way for us to help our football team and we need lots of help from you!  We have committed to be there with at least 15 people per game.  Please join us Thursday and thank you in advance for your help!

Subject: UT Concessions

Here are some general details.  We need to schedule a meeting for those that are interested so we can get a sign up sheet going and some commitments.

We need 4-6 people that will commit to being “managers” and being at the games from beginning to end.  People will come in two shifts:  half of the people including the manager will come in approximately 3 hours before kick-off.   The rest will come in about 45 minutes prior to kick-off.  Once we close at the beginning or end of the 4th quarter the first shift will leave and the second will clean.  We will rotate these groups so the same people aren’t closing or opening every time (unless someone prefers that).  The manager will leave with the last group and after the money is turned in.  I will go over the specifics in detail during the meeting.  We will be given a tour to see our stand on August 24th at 4pm for anyone who commits to being a manager.

Let me know when a good day to do a tour will be.  The sooner the better.

Dear Football Booster Parents,    The time has arrived for long practices to get ready for the season.  The boys will practice from 4-9pm for the next several weeks.  Please make sure you send your player with some snacks(a sandwich and something sweet and salty) and water and Gatorade.  They will take a break sometime during practice and a snack and drink will help them replenish their energy.   Also, please make sure your player is drinking plenty of water before, during and after practices.  The heat can dehydrate you very fast, so we would like for them to be well hydrated at all times!

Here is some very important information on upcoming dates and events for the Football Team:
 
**Friday, July 23
9:00-4:00PM---Sell Gold Cards at Walmart on Clinton Hwy(must have Adult Supervision---Please contact Ms. Hicks if you are willing to help)
6:00pm---Seniors Only---Senior and family pictures for football program---more info will be sent to Senior Parents at soon as we know exactly where we are going to meet.
 
**Saturday, July 24
7:30AM--Team and Individual Pictures through Lifetouch---Entire Football Team(including Freshman) must meet in locker room at 7:30 to get ready for pics.  Parents should receive a form this week to order pictures.  The players must return form and money for pics when photographer takes pic.   ***All players will have a separate head shot taken by Ms. Hicks to go into football program after team pics are taken.
 
11:00-3:30PM--Blitz Day---All players go out into Community to sell Gold Cards   All Gold card money must be turned in between 3:30 and 4:00PM to be eligible for prizes!
 
6:00-9:00PM--Team Pool Party at Karns Pool--All players and their families are invited.  BBQ will be provided.
 

All players need to bring one 2-Liter drink as well as the following:

Freshman---Salads(Green salad, pasta salad or fruit salad)

Sophomores—Side dishes(corn, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad)

Juniors---Chips

Seniors—Dessert in the form of finger foods---cookies, brownies, etc.

Please help your players sell their gold cards.  We are asking that all players sell at least 20 cards.  You must turn in money for all 20 cards before you can pick up more.  Our Treasurer, Annette Costar, will be at school Monday before practice to take money.  If you need to turn in money and or get more cards, you may contact her at:

Also...player fees are due this week by the pool party on Saturday.  Fees are $250.00 for each player.  Included in that fee, your player will receive a Spirit Pack with items such as shorts, sweats etc.  More details available at Pool Party.  We will be taking the sizes for your players' Spirit Pack at the pool party, so we can get them ordered.  If you do not pay the players fee, your player will not receive a Spirit Pack.

Booster Club fees are $20 and we asked that all families join the Booster Club to support our team!

Workdays will be coming up soon and we will need everyone's help getting the field, stadium and other things ready for our season.

You will be contacted soon to help out in various positions.  Please help us to make this a great year for our players!  Thank you so much!
